Description of Casa de la Vista

BurrosThe entry leads from a narrow cobblestone street into a large atrium hall topped by a cupola.  To the right is the library/media room and ahead is the large living/dining room. The colonial style kitchen and half bathroom are also on this level.

The ground floor sala of this spacious rental home is lined with large windows that look out on a giant patio boasting a fountain and countryside view along with patio tables, chairs and gas BBQ.

EntryOne level down from this patio is a garden with a fish pond and the guest casita – a private one-bedroom retreat with twin beds, en-suite bathroom, and its own kitchenette, plus the added bonus of a game room with a 4.5 x 9-foot pool table and all the equipment. Please note: the two twins can be made up together to create a king bed - let us know your preference!

The second floor includes two bedrooms with magnificent views, each with a hand made cantera fireplace, french doors leading to a balcony, and in-suite  bathrooms tiled with locally made antique designs. The first bedroom has a queen sized bed, the second; king sized. On this level there is a spacious office with desks, and Vonage phone line for free calls back to the States and Canada. This room also has outlets and wireless for high-speed Internet, and there are other Internet outlets throughout the house.

KitchenUp one more level and you are on the top of the world – the large roof terrace has an open area for lounging in the sun, and a covered area with comfortable seating, wet bar and half bathroom for entertaining and/or relaxing at any time of day or night, although enjoying a sunset margarita from this spot will soon become your favorite past-time!

The broad vista of old churches and historic buildings in San Miguel dominate the foreground and the background  of the surrounding Guanajuato countryside and distant Santa Rosa Mountains will never cease to amaze you.
